Not dead
I'm not dead and I haven't quit MonHunting. I have some new videos I needs to get up, but.. I haven't had time to edit the video/audio on them yet. And new guild card. :3 I'm also going to start posting some fiction here, so if you don't like Wall-of-Text attack you should flee now. Though it will have the Wall-of-text tag :3
Unite is coming out at the end of next month and I'm a bit torn on getting it. I have p2g which is the superior version of the game in the fact it both contains the blood and some "copyright" quests. I don't support censorship on the blood, as it already gets a Teen rating, and the blood is helpful for finding the weak points on enemies. More blood, more damage usually. On the US version they toned it down. They also censored the "Copyright Quests". Some of them give copyright prizes like Famitsu Pugi wear, or the Jump pirate stuff. I'm not sure that's really copyright as a design to them, so they could call it the "Flame Leotard" or I think it's called IN ENGLISH, Bandit {stuff} or such. The other quests like the Rathian and Pink Rathian can just do a name change, or maybe get a US sponsor like 1Up or something.
For me the blood is the sticking point though. I don't understand why. Everytime someone asks, there is no answer. Or in my case I get answered with a question "Why is it so important?" Why is it so important, well for one it tells me my shots hit, for two it's part of the "artwork" that is the game and for three...it's a Teen rated game...there's supposed to be blood in it.
Another rant I have is the fact that they changed the name from Portable to Freedom... It's a big issue now when people are asking if Unite is more updated than 2g...AS IF IT WAS A DIFFERENT GAME!
Different name == different game to them. If they kept the naming the same it wouldn't be such a big deal as Portable 2nd G == Portable 2nd G. Of course you have all the whiners that would say something about Monster Hunter G not being translated and people being all "confused" about the G or what not. Then again it's Capcom, they are know for adding random stuff to the end of the titles like 2nd alpha hyper mega remix plus... and stuff.
One person on the forums wanted to rename Tri...get real, people already know it as TRI. Let's not confuse people into thinking they are buying NOT Tri when the are. Inevitably you know some will ask "Is Monster Hunter Live Online more updated than Tri?" when that should get a big "DUH IT IS TRI!"
